Athletes hope Paralympics will raise awarness of disabled issues
Mar. 12/09 - Canadian Press - About 1,350 athletes and team officials from 40 countries are expected to participate in the five Paralympic sports from March 12 to 21, 2010. It will be the first Winter Paralympics held in Canada. UK Study - Animated Series helps children with Autism
Jan. 13/09 - Animated series helped children with autism recognize emotions: study -The Transporters DVD features animated trains, trolleys, ferries and cable cars with the faces of real-life actors expressing emotions. (Courtesy Britain's National Autistic Society) Some children with autism showed significant improvements in recognizing and understanding emotion after viewing an animated series created by British autism researchers, a new study indicates.
