Ontario Disability reviews

I have had ODSP for just over a year now and I don't know much about policy.

On a support group board, a fellow in the U.S. says getting Disability is hard enuf but keeping it is harder.

I thot once we get ODSP, we have it for life.

Can someone explain to me the policy involved here? Will I need to go thru reviews with more doctor's forms to be filled out every so often to confirm I am disabled? What can I expect from this process?

I hate and dread the thot of having to go thru, again, what I went thru before. I had to apply 3 times before being accepted and I understand that this is the norm.

Thanks if you can answer! Denise

I believe what they do is have u go to a meeting every 3 or 4 yrs just to comfirm u still need this help. A friend of mine just went through it. Its just there way of keeping up to date on your claim. They check to make sure u are still disabled in there eyes, check your bills make sure you have claimed any money you have recieved ex: inheritance, or any other money you may have come into.
