I am interested in an accessible cruise. Would like to hear from anyone who has been on such an adventure. I have an electric wheelchair. Would need wide doors, larger room and bathroom. Pool lift a neccessity!

Hi, I am a travel agent who specializes in providing travel arrangements for people with Disabilities, particularly those who use wheelchairs. Many cruise ship companies are really taking on the challenge of providing access solutions. I have toured a number of ships and would be very happy to provide you with information.

Hello people
My husband and I are planning a trip to Canada this summer including a trip on the ship from Vancouver to Alaska (inner passage) and back to Vancouver. I am getting negative vibes about this ship and wheelchairs, although I understand that the ship is only 2 years old. Does anyone have any information, please? We understand that the train through the Rockies has wheelchair access so that is not a problem. Any info. would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

hi, C, i want to suggest you not to worry about the acces you will see it when you are there. and when you have a helper with you it's surely not a problem. as caregiver for (multi-)disabled i travel a lot of with them and it's not a big deal to come around. by questions please feel free to write!

greetings, peter

If you are traveling you might find some useful information at www.audacitymagazine.com .
There is a travel column "Around the world with Jules" that tries to deal with the travel bugs.
Hope it helps.

There is also a message board with free giveaways for the disabled community.
