  • Disability Central - This American disability website is the host of @ctivTeen, a site managed by and for teens and young adults with disabilities and their peers. It hosts an e-zine, chat groups and message boards, and features eye-catching graphics. Also on the site: links, announcements and writing opportunities.

  • Internet Resources for Special Children - This site is dedicated to providing information on the needs of children with disabilities around the world. The highlight of the website is its substantial directory of disability links, organized into topic areas. A list of Internet search engines is even made available to complete the user's search for information.

  • The Sibling Support Project - This site is dedicated to the interests of brothers and sisters of people with disabilities. The project,based in Seattle, offers workshops and "Sibshops." The website includes articles, a list of books and links, a few different listservs to target certain age grops or populations, back issues of the program's newsletter, and an international directory of peer support programs for siblings.

  • Wow! Winners on Wheels Online - This is a colourful site for kids who use whelchairs. Designed to promote achievement, it gives children an opportunity to win Wheel Awards for success in areas such as sports, crafts and nature. Kids can also join a circle and meet other kids on line to chat or play games. There are opportunities to upgrade computer skills, a section for parents and another called Tough It Out to help children develop self-confidence.
