• Disabled Sports USA - A national nonprofit, tax exempt organization providing sports and recreation services to children and adults with physical or mobility related disabilities. It's mission is to provide the opportunity for individuals with physical disabilities to gain confidence and dignity through participation in sports, recreation and related educational programs.

• International Disabled Self-Defense Association - The site of a martial arts organization based in Florida, promoting effective self-defense for people with and without disabilities. The site features information about the organization and the current newsletter. • Physical Activity and Disability - The Physical Activity & Disability Virtual Laboratory contains learning material developed specifically for modules offered in the undergraduate and post-graduate programmes of the Department of PE, Sports Science and Recreation Management. The material is only accessible from machines on the campus of Loughborough University. Here you will find module details, lecture outlines, seminar themes, study units on various topics, contacts in the Loughborough and East Midlands areas, bibliographic information, and links to other internet resources maintained by the Physical Activity & Disability Research Group.

• Slingshot Golf - Slingshot golf uses a slingshot and a putter to make the shot more accessible to people with disabilities who cannot swing a golf club. This website, while new and largely under construction, does include game rules, equipment description, and a fun page with a video clip of the sport in action.

• Sport Quest - Extensive information on sport for athletes with a disability. Incorporated into the site is a list of various sport sites available on the net; along with each sport title appears the number of links associated with this topic. Most links are from the U.S., but there are a number from Canada too. Some sport titles on the site include: soccer; yachting; water skiing; volleyball; and rugby.

• The Dummy Hoy Homeplate - This website profiles William Ellsworth "Dummy" Hoy, the first deaf major-league baseball player, who began his professional career in 1886. The site includes an overview of Hoy's baseball career, his statistics and achievements (in his rookie year he broke the league record for stealing bases), and information about an upcoming biography.

• U.S. National Sports Center for the Disabled - The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), is an innovative non-profit organization that provides recreation for children and adults with disabilities. . In addition to recreational downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing lessons, NSCD provides year-round competition training to ski racers with disabilities. Summer recreation opportunities include biking, hiking, in-line skating, sailing, therapeutic horseback riding, white water rafting, baseball, fishing, rock climbing for the blind, and camping.

• U.S. Wheelchair Basketball Association - The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is comprised of 181 basketball teams within twenty-two conferences.
