Housing    Photo of a man using a porch lift with an attendant.

Home is where the heart is... and the adaptive equipment, and the barrier-free features, and the ramps and the elevators, and...! The place where we live should be the place where we feel safe, secure and comfortable. That's why it's important for people with disabilities to have homes that are as accessible and accommodating as possible.

  • Interested in living in downtown Toronto? Own an accessible condo! Check out www.parksidecondos.com.

  • In an effort to help make homes and communities more accessible, the Ontario March of Dimes offers a host of AccessAbility Services to Ontario residence. These services and programs are designed to assist adults with physical disabilities to gain independence and greater mobility. Contact the Ontario March of Dimes at 1-800-263-3463 or visit www.dimes.on.ca.
