Injured Workers    Photo of a welder in a wheelchair with sparks flying.

A work injury is usually totally unexpected. It is normal to feel pretty overwhelmed. There are a lot of changes, and there is a lot to learn. But fortunately, there are many support groups, lots of resources, and a load of information out there for injured workers. We invite you to check it out!

  • The LifeQuilt
The LifeQuilt is a unique, permanent memorial dedicated to the thousands of young women and men who have been killed or injured on the job in Canada. It is a tapestry paying tribute to those who are woven together in life by a common thread - a workplace injury. Each year, over 60,000 young workers (between the ages of 15-24) are injured seriously enough to require time off work. Over the last two years, nearly 100 young workers have been killed as a result of hazardous working conditions. Help protect the future of young workers. Check out www.youngworkerquilt.ca or call 1-800-669-4939, ext. 458.

  • Connect with other injured workers! Here's an opportunity to talk to someone who has been there and knows what it's all about. Come to the Injured Workers Message Board and join the community!

  • Trying to find information about your local Workers' Compensation Board? Link to our list of WCBs of Canada and their websites.

Don't forget to share! Send us your news, updates and events for injured workers to include on EnableLink. E-mail [email protected].
