SELF-DEFENSE FOR PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS

You must be aware that within our own society people who are physically or neurologically impaired are more vulnerable than the rest of us. It is imperative that this population be in a position to defend itself should the need arise.

Mr. Joseph Lev is President of the Judo Committee in the Israel Sports Federation, where he has dedicated his life to training self-defense to the handicapped, visually handicapped and the blind.

He is offering a FREE, six-day training program, two hours each day at Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Avenue in Scarborough. Starting September 9, to September, 15, 2002, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

We are welcoming all interested martial-arts instructors who wish to learn more, as well as paraplegic participants who have use of their hands. All participants are asked to bring along an able-bodied volunteer as their assistant. Participation will be at one's own risk.

This program provides:

Karate exercises
Ne- Ju-Jitsu exercises
Waza (Judo ground technique)
Combination of different methods in self-defense from:
Strangulation, Punches, Stabbing, Stick attack, and Pistol threat.
.

To register call us at (416) 444-1446 or, e-mail us at honeysherman@rogers.com.

Respectively yours,

Honey Sherman, Director
